One of the ingredients in Shelly's Nourish Hair Balm and Hair Drink is Tsubaki or Japanese Camellia oil. Earlier today I was looking at the literature that accompanied the shipment. I don't speak Japanese, but the illustrations were fascinating. I cannot believe all of the ways that women in Japan use this oil. They use it to massage their scalps, as a pre and post shampoo hair conditioner, as a daily grooming aid, to seal moisture into their hair, as a face oil, on their cuticles. It has a non greasy, almost dry feel, and is very high in Oleic acid, anti-oxidants, and vitamins A, D, C, and E. Camellia oil is one of the holy grail oils that actually penetrates the hair shaft to strengthen hair, add suppleness, and prevent breakage. That's why it's included in both products.
